The last race of the season is over. Joe did great, of course. This race was shorter distances than a couple other races so it was more relaxed for him. It was also fun because we had a full house. My parents and Dillan came. Dillan participated in the triathon too. He was cracking us all up. He was easy to spot because he was one of maybe three wearing basketball shorts. He was so relaxed and easy going before the race, he was making us all nervous. Let me remind you that he hadn't ever swam in open water except for a couple of times before the race. He made it though. But after he got out of the water he said, "I think I might try and train next time." Haha. Well duh!
Joe's cousin, Shawn, also came for the race. It has literally been 10 years since we have seen them. Both them and us were just dating and hadn't even gotten married yet. It was so fun to have them stay with us. Such easy conversations with them! They better make it a tradition every year!
