We have been wanting to visit Boise for 5 years! No kidding. And what better time than to go so Joe could participate in the Boise Half Ironman. It was the perfect vacation. It's nice we had a place to stay (my Aunt Cindy's) since we were lucky enough to leave on Wednesday and didn't have to be home until Sunday. The first few days there we revisited places we used to live, eat, sleep, etc. Then the next few days were more focused on the Ironman part. Friday Joe had to check in all of his gear and bike. He also had the athlete check-in and orientation. It pretty much took all day. Then Saturday was the race. It was fun to have so many support Joe in what he loves to do. He said the crowd cheering for him was fun and nice.
