Brock and Keni both played outdoor soccer this year. Brock had games every Thursday. Keni had games every Wednesday and Saturday. So between practices and games we were at the soccer fields a lot during the week.
Brock LOVED soccer. He looked forward to it every.single.game! He was fun to watch because he was pretty aggressive and wanted to get a goal so bad which happened most games multiple times. Although for his age group they mostly played 3 on 3 and most kids weren't competitive. Haha. But we'll just go with my kid was the superstar! (We won't mention the other boy on the team that got about that many too.)
It took Keni a couple of games to warm up to the idea of OUTDOOR soccer. She was a little nervous to play for some reason. In the beginning I was seriously wondering why we even signed her up because she would run beside the ball the whole time or get really close to it and then just stand there. But, after she got the hang of things she did so good. She loved playing defender and was one of the best on the team. She understood what to do and when to do it. She definitely redeemed herself. I'm glad she got the hang of it because after she did she loved playing.
Just trying to keep warm while cheering Keni on at her soccer game. That's the downfall to spring soccer. It's stinking cold! The wind was super miserable this day but luckily we took our shadebrella. It saved us!
