My Sunbeam

Ever since we moved here, Keni has absolutely loved nursery. Her teacher was amazing from day one. I was worried that when the time came to go to Sunbeams she wouldn't want to leave her teacher. I was totally wrong though.

After Sacrament meeting the primary kids were to stay in the chapel until the presidency told the kids who their new teacher would be. Keni sat on the pew anxiously awaiting for her name to be called. Finally, they started calling the three year olds. The first class of Sunbeams was called. You could tell Keni was starting to get nervous. Shoot! Hopefully she will still be excited. The second class of Sunbeams was being called. Then, we heard it! She literally jumped up and ran right to her teacher. She stood at the front listening to the rest of her class get called up and then they were off.

Can you believe there are three classes of Sunbeams in my ward. And there are also three nurseries too! Sheesh, I get why it always seems so chaotic now. :) Keni had to say the scripture her first week in Primary. She was excited. We practiced what she would say a few days before and she even had a little bit of it memorized. Unforunately, it didn't go so well once we were in front of the whole Primary. She just stood at the microphone mute. Whatev. She'll get better at it.

Keni's new teacher is fabulous. Every week Keni brings home a handout/letter/paper, etc. of what they learned the week before and what they talked about that day. Isn't that amazing. It's not just a copy straight from the manual either. It's in her own words. The teacher is always doing fun songs and poems that go along with the lesson.
