We put our tree up right after Thanksgiving. Keni loved decorating it and actually did a good job spreading out the ornaments. She also put the star on the top of the tree and was so impressed with herself. Every time she looks at it now she gets a big grin on her face and says that she did it.
We started the Elf on the Shelf this year. We didn't get the actual 'Elf' but the 6 dollar version from Tai Pan works just as well. Keni was beyond excited when the doorbell rang with her package. After she opened the package and found out the Santa delivered it she jumped up so quick, opened the door, and tried to see Santa. It was so cute. She was so sad when he wasn't there. haha. She named the elf Two Hat since he has two hats. It only makes sense, I guess. :) I don't think she fully understands yet but she still has fun looking for him in the mornings. And she does think that he reports to Santa at night. Although I think she forgets that all to often during the day.
She loved that she got to play with him on the first night. Now if she touches him he will lose his magic and go back to Santa.
