Party in Preston-- Easter Style. :)

We went to Preston last weekend for an Easter party at the Porter's. We left Thursday night so that Joe could ride his bike around Bear Lake with my dad. It took them several hours but Joe said they weren't hurrying and it was just a good, easy, fun ride. I'm not sure 50 miles on a pedal bike sounds easy but whatev. :)

When the guys were out biking we just hung out with my mom at home. We played outside most of the morning. And we did manage to color Easter eggs. The kids are always so excited to do it but lets be honest-- the fun only lasts about 10 minutes. Although this year, I think Brock had more fun dumping the colored water in the toilet when we were done. I think he was entertained longer doing that then actually dying the eggs.

Joe and my dad rolled in just in time for a wienie roast with my Grandma Hampton and Alan. It was fun to see them. It seems like we are always pulled in so many directions when we are in Preston and I never get the chance to see my grandma. It was great to see her! She's always so positive and complimentary. You can't help but like to be around her.

Saturday was the Easter party my kids had been so excited for. They love playing with their cousins and we just don't see them very often. Janice had eggs to color and sugar cookies to decorate for the kids. Of course when you get 15ish kids doing it all at the same time it gets a little chaotic. Somehow everyone manages their creations though. We usually have a 'traditional' easter egg hunt but this year Keith decided to change it up a bit. It was more like a scavenger hunt. It was a slow start (the clues were off a bit) but after everything was figured out it was fun. I think my kids were a little too young to enjoy it though. I overheard Keni asking Janice when the Easter egg hunt would be. She apparently didn't put it together that the scavenger hunt was it! Haha. After Janice told her that we had already done it she just went on her merry little way. Obviously she wasn't too bummed about it.

We left on Sunday. We went to my parents sacrament meeting and then skipped out so we weren't home late. I hate that my parents church isn't until one now! It makes it hard to stay when we have a 5 hour drive home still.
