Two Weeks in Preston

We were lucky enough to spend two weeks in Preston. Joe had to go back and work two days but I say that's pretty darn good! When we were planning the trip I thought we would have oodles of time to play and visit with people but it seems like it went by soooo fast! We had a funeral, wedding/baptism/family reunion, swimming just to name a few.

This was only ten minutes into the drive TO Preston! They were already exhausted from when my friends came to visit. They slept for at least half the drive. 

  My grandpa 'Pete' died on Sunday, June 22, 2014. :'( His funeral was July 3, 2014. He did time it well though since Zeb and I would already both be home. We sang Grandpa, by The Judds at his funeral. Even though the event was somber, it was fun to see all the cousins!

It was fun going to Dawnata with everyone. It's been years since we have gone. 

Preston's one and only park. You have to go before 11 a.m. or the toys are too hot to play on.  Luckily we were ambitious enough to get there early on this particular day. The kids had fun especially on the old school merry-go-round.

On the 4th of July

Brock was not sure of the fireworks. He sat in Joe's lap with his back toward them and cuddled the whole time.

We did a lot of driving in the two weeks. This was on our way back to my parents house to gather our stuff for one more night before heading back to our home.  

We were all exhausted and just wanted to relax!
