We finally got to go to the Sand Dunes this time around. It's been over 6 years since we went last. It just seemed like whenever it was time to go we had something going on. This year it worked out perfectly! Joe didn't have Friday clinic because he was starting a new rotation on Monday. Well turns out that the new Dr. went out of town and wasn't working Monday. So, we got to stay the entire time.
We had a blast. Keni absolutely loved it. The night before we left I tried to put her on one of the 4-wheelers but she wouldn't get on. She looked so scared and just cried. Grrreat. Here we are leaving tomorrow to ride 4-wheelers around for 4 days and she won't even get on one that isn't moving. Luckily though, when we got there she was fine. She warmed up to the idea and even liked her helmet. Even though she liked the 4-wheelers she was even more content playing in the giant sandbox. The other kids would make sand castles and just as soon as they would finish making them she would smash them. It was a fun little game for her.
