Brock graduated preschool! He has had the best year at Forever Young Preschool. He learned so much more than just the required school stuff. The teachers really go above and beyond to teach them to be kind, be confident, and be happy.
Here are some pictures the teachers sent me from activities throughout the year.
During centers Brock loved playing with the blocks.
Thankful turkeys at rug time.
Cleanup Cop and Show and Tell-- They have the cutest jobs that they rotate through every day. This day Brock was the cleanup cop. He was looking for people that were cleaning well so he could touch them to sit down for rug time. The teachers thought it was so cute that he was using his binoculars that he brought for show-and-tell.
Show-and-tell was a pretty big deal. They did it 12 times-- every Thursday for three months! At first I thought it was a little over kill but after I realized WHY they were doing it I loved it. They were trying to teach the kids public speaking and to be confident when talking. There were a few other reasons but I can't remember what they were. I witnessed first hand that it TOTALLY worked. We went to the library for an activity and the librarian asked if anyone would like to tell about their project. Brock raised his hand, grabbed the microphone, and started jabbering away about his cool project he built. I couldn't believe it.
Green Day-- Brock had a tiny bit of green on his shirt and didn't want to wear anymore!
He came home and said Mr. Young stacked 10 green apples on his head but Mrs. Young could only get three. I obviously didn't believe him about Mr. Young but there was a picture for proof in the slideshow at graduation. Haha.
Happy Easter. The teachers gave them these cute bunnies at the Easter party.
This is after he got his glasses for performing his talent at the talent show.
Charity Run-- Something cool about the preschool is they do a charity run every year. Each year they ask for nominations on where the money should be distributed. They pick a winner for all the money except for 100 dollars which is for a second place winner. Each lap the student runs gets 20 dollars to put in the bucket and every non-student participant gets one dollar per lap. Isn't that cool! They give all the money that is put in. How generous is that!!!
Being silly at centers with Mr. Potatohead.
Instead of painting pumpkins they all got to decorate a pumpkin with silly faced stickers. Brilliant.
They sent home a letter saying they were open for trick-or-treating for a couple hours and had a special treat for students. They really think it out though because they gave all my kids a prize and then took Brock into a different room so my other kids didn't feel bad. It was the cutest thing.

The graduation was held at the preschool where they performed what they learned each month. Plus, of course, a few other fun things they wanted to show off.
Brock's best friend Jaegen. They were buddies from day one and always played together 'til the very end.
The faces of the preschool. Mr and Mrs Young.
