Let me first say that I completely think balance bikes are worth the money. Brock rode his balance bike all last summer. He was great at it. He would balance all the way down the hill, by our house. And he could go super fast, too. But it was time to teach him to pedal. And he did it. Just like that. He was super nervous but he could totally do it the very first time he tried. Joe held on to his shirt for reassurance but that's it. It did take a little bribing of Cold Stone ice cream to get him to even try. But he loves his 'pedal bike' now.
