Halloween

Our Halloween crew. We opted out of the ward trunk-or-treat this year. It usually lasts 5 minutes and then we are left wondering what to do for the rest of the night. So we got together with some friends and went to a couple different neighborhoods. It was so.much.better. The kids had a blast. There weren't tons of people home but it was still fun going door to door. 

A funny story: We went to one house that was pretty decked out with Halloween decorations on the front porch. We had almost gone around the whole neighborhood so the kids had gotten the hang of it by now. We shooed the kids to the door and out pops this creepy mime looking thing from behind the porch. All the kids just kind of stood there watching, wondering what they should do. The lady just kept doing more and more weird/creepy things and the kids got FREAKED out. The lady was pretty ruthless because she didn't let up. She finally sat the bowl of candy down for the kids to grab something but as soon as one of the kids grabbed a piece she howled and the few remaining kids that were on the porch came rushing back. They decided the candy wasn't worth it at that house. :)
